There will be various 24-hour lane closures near the H-2 Freeway Mililani Interchange from 8:30 a.m. on Friday, August 8, through 4:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, for pavement resurfacing at the following locations:

H-2 Freeway

H-2 Freeway southbound off-ramp to Mililani Mauka and Mililani Town (Exit 5) will be closed.

Mililani Mauka and Mililani Town-bound motorists coming from the Wahiawa direction are advised to use alternate routes, such as Kamehameha Highway, or to proceed down H-2 Freeway to Ka Uka Boulevard, re-enter H-2 Freeway in the northbound direction, then exit to Mililani Town or Mililani Mauka from the south (Exit 5A or 5B).

Meheula Parkway

Mililani Town-bound lanes on Meheula Parkway will be closed. Mililani Town-bound traffic will be contraflowed using one Mauka-bound lane from the H-2 Interchange to Kuahelani Avenue.

Mililani Town-bound motorists are advised that turns are not allowed from the contraflowed lane, and left turns are not allowed from the right lane onto Kuahelani Avenue.

At an approximate cost of $16.2 million, this rehabilitation project will include full pavement reconstructions at the H-2 Freeway Waipio Interchange, Mililani Interchange and Kipapa Stream Bridge. The improvements also include the installation of a right-turn storage lane at the southbound Ka Uka Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 2) and the replacement of guardrails, traffic signs, pavement markings and lane striping. These improvements will be made by Kiewit Pacific, Co., with an anticipated completion in December 2008.

Mililani Interchange

Northbound H-2 Freeway Mililani Mauka off-ramp (Exit 5A) will be closed on Monday, August 11 through Thursday, August 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing.

Mililani Mauka-bound motorists are advised to proceed on the H-2 Freeway to the following Mililani Town off-ramp (Exit 5B), turn right onto Meheula Parkway, and make a U-turn at the Kuahelani Avenue intersection (see attached map) or to use alternate routes such as Kamehameha Highway.

At an approximate cost of $16.2 million, this rehabilitation project will include full pavement reconstructions at the H-2 Freeway Waipio Interchange, Mililani Interchange and Kipapa Stream Bridge.
